Lateral Epicondylitis: aka Tennis Elbow.
Lateral Epicondylitis or “tennis elbow” is pain associated to the lateral or outside aspect of the elbow and has been associated with over use such as playing tennis. Repetitive motion and activities can cause irritation and stress to the muscles and tendons of the forearm which attach the muscle to the bone structures. The repetitive stress can even cause tears and inflammation to the region. Dr. Batson utilizes K-Laser Therapy, also known as “Photobiomodulation”, to the elbow region to increase circulation to the region, increase cellular function, reduce inflammation, reduce pain, increase healing, for the restoration of joint and soft tissue function. Chiropractic manipulation can also be applied for further restoration of joint function. Dr. Batson is a Palmer College of Chiropractic graduate, practicing in a solo practice for over twenty eight years. Dr. Batson utilizes the PIERCE RESULTS SYSTEM of spinal analysis and treatment consisting of utilizing Examination, X-ray analysis with Video-Fluoroscopy (motion X-Ray imaging), very gentle and specific chiropractic manipulation techniques, lumbar decompression therapy, and the K-Laser therapy. Dr. Batson treats patients of Willowbrook and the surrounding communities of Darien, Burr Ridge, Downers Grove, Hinsdale, Oakbrook, Claredon Hills, Westmont, and the Tri-State regions.
