Achilles pain can be associated with over use, sprains/strains, tendonitis, rupture, and even post surgical pain. Dr. Batson has found K-Laser to be extremely effective in treating Achilles pain, Achilles tendonitis, and foot/Achilles dysfunction. K-Laser has proven to be beneficial even after surgical procedures reducing pain, edema, and inflammation.
K-Laser Therapy works at the cellular level to reduce inflammation, pain, and edema through the use of Near-Infrared wavelengths of light energy to stimulate cell and tissue repair without the use of injections or medications.

Gout is a form of arthritis and characterized by redness, tenderness, and severe pain of a joint. Gout is usually associated with the big toe, but can be found in joints throughout the body as well. Gout is caused by the over-abundance of uric acid in the blood stream causing the formation of crystals in the joints and under the skin causing inflammation and often severe pain associated with gout.
Dr. Batson of Willowbrook Il, utilizes K-Laser Class IV Therapy to treat the pain associated with gout. K-laser utilizes wavelengths of light energy to effectively reduce the inflammation and pain associated with gout.

Sesamoiditis is inflammation of the small bones located under the first joint of the big toe. These small round bones are located in the tendons that run to the big toe. Inflammation of the sesamoid bones and tendons can occur from repetitive activities and stress of running or foot pronation causing pain to the plantar forefoot, ball of the foot, and under the big toe.
Dr. Batson successfully treats sesamoiditis using the K-Laser Class IV therapeutic laser to reduce the inflammation and pain by delivering red and near-infrared wavelengths of light energy to induce a photochemical and therapeutic effect on the foot and toe tissues. Pain and inflammation is resolved!!!
Dr. Batson also utilizes Foot Levelers custom orthotic shoe inserts to properly support the foot and ankle to off set the pressure from the big toe associated with foot pronation or flat feet.

Dr. Batson speaking at Platinum Networking Associates weekly meeting!!! Topic K-Laser and Chiropractic manipulative therapy!!
D. Batson spoke at the Platinum Networking Associates weekly networking meeting. Dr. Batson as a Doctor of Chiropractic spoke on Chiropractic manipulative therapy and the benefits of K-Laser Therapy. Topics included proper spinal alignment and biomechanics of the spine and upper/lower extremities and conditions relieved with the combination of chiropractic care, K-laser therapy, Foot Levelers custom orthotics such as: sesamoiditis, foot pronation, turf toe, bunions, heel spurs, lumbar spine pain, sacroiliac pain, hip pain and dysfunction.
Dr. Batson will be speaking at the Platinum Networking Associates breakfast meeting tomorrow morning. The presentation topic will be the understanding and benefits of Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy and K-Laser Therapy. The combination enhances the ability for healing and pain reduction.
Herniated Disc: aka: “Slipped Disc”
A vertebral disc is the cartilaginous material between adjacent spinal vertebrae (spinal bones) and acts as a shock absorbing cushion to facilitate proper biomechanical joint function and reduce friction. The disc also acts as a spacer between adjacent vertebrae to allow the spinal nerve roots to exit the spine and supply nerve energy to various aspects of the body.
A disc can herniate (bulge or rupture) due to injury, repetitive stress, posture and weight gain, aging, and/or a vertebral subluxation. A vertebral subluxation is the partial dislocation of one vertebrae in relation to another causing altered biomechanical joint function which can then cause altered stress to the disc and thus disc degeneration, disc bulge, herniation, or rupture.
Disc Herniation can be associated with:

Dr. Batson utilizes the PIERCE RESULTS SYSTEM of spinal analysis and treatment consisting of utilizing Examination, X-ray analysis with Video-Fluoroscopy (motion X-Ray imaging), very specific chiropractic manipulation techniques, Lordex lumbar decompression therapy, and the K-Laser therapy. Lateral Epicondylitis: aka Tennis Elbow.
Lateral Epicondylitis or “tennis elbow” is pain associated to the lateral or outside aspect of the elbow and has been associated with over use such as playing tennis. Repetitive motion and activities can cause irritation and stress to the muscles and tendons of the forearm which attach the muscle to the bone structures. The repetitive stress can even cause tears and inflammation to the region.
Dr. Batson utilizes K-Laser Therapy, also known as “Photobiomodulation”, to the elbow region to increase circulation to the region, increase cellular function, reduce inflammation, reduce pain, increase healing, for the restoration of joint and soft tissue function. Chiropractic manipulation can also be applied for further restoration of joint function.
